Jianyuan’s proposal “A Fullerene-based Molecular Route towards Designer Nanoparticles” is funded by the NIH NIGMS Maximizing Investigators’ Research Award (MIRA) R35 grant!
This $1.96m ($1.25m direct cost) will significantly boost our capacity to design fullerene derivatives for biomedical purposes. We cannot wait to bring new molecular nanomaterials to the world!
The scientific review comments were overall very enthusiastic and supportive. In particular, reviewers highlighted our recent work, such as the metallobuckytrio paper, as evidence of our productivity and capability. These papers are results of the hard work of our group members and collaborators. JZ really appreciates the contribution from everyone involved.
